5 INSANE Plugins from Antelope Audio

Antelope Audio is well known for their incredible effort towards creating one of the best audio interfaces featured in studios around the world.

However, Antelope Audio specializes into creating incredible plugin, now available in Native format, so I'm going to list 5 incredible plugins from them that really surprised me.

1. Antelope Audio ZHEGA

ZHEGA is a pure analog-style chaos inside your DAW... that's the easiest way to explain how insane it is. Initially, it's a saturator, but with five distinct saturation circuits, dual pre/post EQ stages, cabinet simulation and incredibly flexible saturation shaping, this plugin can go all the way from being extremely subtle, to being one of the most aggressive saturators you experienced.

Works great on vocals, drums, synths, guitars, mix bus and mastering (of course, if you set it properly).

2. Antelope Audio Diode609

This plugin is modeled over the legendary diode-bridge compression sound that shaped countless records for decades. The best way to describe how it sounds is to say that it introduces a very warm, full, musical and punchy sound to your audio signal. It doesn't matter if you insert it on your mix bus, master, drum bus or synths... this compressor will give you that expensive energy that all of our are obsessed with.

3. Antelope Audio The Judge

As a mastering engineer, this plugin sounds extremely exciting to me as it's not just a regular metering plugin. It represents a reality check for your masters. From loudness monitoring and phase analysis to stereo imaging, true peak control and insanely detailed overview of what's actually happening in your track. This plugin will help to achieve that master that translates well on every single device and streaming platform.

4. Antelope Audio BX3 Compressor

Besides bringing an incredible compression known for decades, it brings a modern workflow and touch as this is a three band compressor which is super fast and addictive.

This compressor will add punch, attitude, density and character to your drums, vocals, buses with ease. My advice is to also switch that RMS mode and play with it - this will give even more energy to your signal, and will surely surprise you, as it surprised me.

5. Antelope Audio Reel-to-Reel

We all love tapes, that's a fact. Reel-to-Reel is modeled over the vintage tape used on countless records. It recreates warmth, compression, saturation and subtle movement of classic tapes.

It will ensure you get thicker low mids, smooth high end, additional glue... or just that classic rock and gritty sound on your guitars, which surprised me the most. Simply choose the tape speed you like, tape type, add some input gain, match the output and let the insanity happen - this tape is super unique.
