Antelope Audio's Console-Grade Preamps & Built-in DSP Audio Interface for less than $300?!

Antelope Audio released an entry-level, bus-powered USB-C audio interface, designed to bring the company's signature professional conversion and preamp technology to wider audience with their Zenith 2.

Zenith 2 aims to close the gap as much as possible between high-end studios and bedroom environments with their most affordable audio interface that features AD/DA converters offering 32-bit/192kHz resolution, 123dB of dynamic range and inbuilt DSP that brings even more flexibility to the table.

High-End Features on a Budget

Zenith 2 features two discrete 6-transistor microphone preamps, which Antelope Audio says are identical to the console inspired preamps found in their flagship interfaces, such as the Orion Studio. These preamps will deliver 75dB of clean gain, which is great for advanced microphones that require a lot of gain, without needing to use an external booster - which commonly introduce more noise and artifacts.

The DSP on this interface is INSANE, which can be also used in real-time. Zenith 2 allows you to track and monitor with near-zero latency using their Sky EQ, De-esser and Tube-Opto Compressor. All of these processors are easily controlled within the interface itself, and they're super simple to set up - I had no problems with that at all.

Connectivity & Usage

The Zenith 2 is built for multiple purposes, which means is can work along with Windows, Mac, iOS or Android, so it's definitely designed to expand on workflow, not to keep you stuck in the loop.

This interface is great for content creators, streamers or regular studio usage - it all depends on what you need from it, as it will give you that studio grade, no matter where you use it and how you use it.

  • Conversion: Studio-grade AD/DA conversion up to 123dB dynamic range and 32-bit/192kHz resolution.
  • Preamps: 2 Discrete 6-transistor preamps featuring 75dB of gain (offering 48V Phantom Power, Hi-Z, Line inputs).
  • Real-Time DSP: Featuring Sky EQ, De-esser and Tube-Opto Compressor with near-zero latency, controlled via the interface itself.
  • Streaming: Inbuilt loopback for effortless microphone mixing, music, and system audio for professional podcasts or streams.
  • Incredible compatibility: Bus-powered USB-C works driver-free on Windows, Mac, iOS or Android.
  • Input/Output: Stereo TRS monitor out, two independent TRS headphone outputs, and tranditional 5-pin MIDI I/O.

The Zenith 2 is available through authorized Antelope Audio dealers and Antelope Audio's official website, priced at $299 USD / 299 EUR.
